what they really meant

the aussie definition of culture:

Instead of Shakespeare the Aussies have sunshine. In place of Beethoven, there are beaches.

that's where LOTR was filmed :) and i recall clearly this advert about the country whilst in primary school that went, "..see half the world in NZ.." right after showing the sceneries that resembled scotland, norway, the tropics, wales - read: sheep, etc etc.

sorry to hear that your visit to Vietnam wasn't delightful. none of the Asian countries ever make me go, "yeah, i should go visit these places someday...". even when alot of idiots around ere go ape at the mere mention of bali. and thailand. like as if there ain't any beach ere to barbecue emselves.

I think NZ looks beautiful (at least in the glossies). Another place I have no desire to go to is Japan. Been in an airport there several times, and that's as much as I want to see. Went to Vietnam for three weeks. That was a very long three weeks.

neither do i, in spite of praises and such by wee islander's. but then again, they go there to peek at sheep, that's quite expected, innit. NZ - though persuaded by the bro to give it a chance as one of my emigrating options, it doesn't grab me.

You know? I have really never dreamt of going to Australia. Really doesn't appeal to me one way or another. I would like to go to New Zealand someday.
