why should i?

they left their bairn's on their own whilst they enjoyed long dinner's with friends.

but of course, they claimed that they return to check on em bairn's every half hour. or summat if the news reports were to be believed. and now that one of em bairn's was abducted, they have the effin gall to demand - soz, request - that we "keep lookin and keep praying" for her safe return?

as if it is the public's responsibility to keep a lookout for - no, *find* and then *return* their precious bairn to em. what's more galling is some daily mail reader demanded that "the world should unite" in prayers and finding this bairn.

i wonder if this particular cow would say same if the bairn is ugly. or a non-white, to put it more bluntly. hundreds of bairn's disappear everyday around the blue marble. so what's the fuckin big deal about this blonde wee lass? apparently said cow did not engage brain before fingers.

in short, ain't it an utter crime against humanity that space-wasting amoebae are allowed to breed?

should they not be shamed and made to realise they are complete failures as parent's?

Hi Coffdrop - it's good hearing from you. I'm not sure though if Madeleine herself had walked out of the apartment herself looking for her parents? Or that something or someone caught her eye?

Yes, I cannot claim to know how her parents and immediate family felt. But then, I'm sick and fed up of being forced to look at headlines and pictures of them and the wee lass on whichever site I visit. Probably it's a cultural thing, but I find it's a tad in-your-face by the parents. Not to mention by the relatives too --> an organised run with Madeleine on the t-shirts, her image plastered on at footy matches. What the effin fuck for? She's already missing, for fuck's sake.

There were bairns go missing here too - who ended up dead - but their parents don't go about shoving images of the bairns down our throats.
The McCanns try doing their massive publicity stunt here - especially asking us to look for their bairn - and they'd be in for a rude shock.

Typical responses from wee islanders: "Are you the only parents in the world missing a child?" Or better still, "Why are you so fucking undignified? What business of yours telling us to look out and pray for your child??" "You as parents are so irresponsible and now you are asking us to help you?"

Like I said, it's cultural. But I don't know why no matter how hard I try, I just don't feel for Madeleine. So am I heartless?

For the moment I'm hoping that little Madaleine is found safe and well for obvious reasons.

I can't believe the parents acted as they did especially given their professions. Let's hope the child will be found first. The parents will get a slaughteing in the press when the situation is resolved, be it a good or bad outcome.

Regardless of their stupid actions, I know what they are going through to some extent. Our daughter went missing for 2 hours when she was only 6 going on 7. We had moved house and she ran away (well peddled really, she took her bike)to our old house in a village 3 miles away. The police here acted instantly and our new neighbours organised searches of the village and surrounding areas. It's a horrible feeling not knowing what's happened and wondering where the heck she was. Thankfully she was found peddling her way back from our old house by one of the neighbours.

The parents were wrong, unthinking and stupid, but now they are really suffering agonies you can only imagine, if you haven't had such an experience. They will be punishing themselves without the help of anyone else and I can foresee a marriage breakdown at the end of this.
