member

whilst walking by the reception counter on my way in to the office proper this morning, a st. andrew's society monthly caught me blinker. of course, i exclaimed with utter delight upon seeing the tartaned print all over.

yep, as one would have already guessed, said society is a gathering of sorts for:
- scots who work here on the wee isle
- anyone who has a scottish parent or grandparent
- anyone of scottish descent

and they have got a chieftain to boot.

as i was intrigued by it, i went to the website to find out more on the membership. it is open to non-scots types, BUT they are designated as associate members. as opposed to ordinary members who are of scots origin.

reet. did i detect a hint of discrimination 'ere? regardless, i could apply for the membership all the same in the name of B McTavish. for a lark. and then see their reaction afterwards.

heh.

Like they say, one man's meat is another man's poison. Some blokes like the "huhs", the "act cute" factor and the little piece of adventure indulging in a secret affair. Cuts both ways methinks.

yep, spot on. and what gets my goat is these c*nts do not give a shite if some of these gweilo's are already married and have kids.

imagine, hearing them go, "HUH?" instead of "pardon?"; and acting "cute" when they are not. how come they are even allowed to gallivant all over the planet is beyond belief.

like my mum once said to me, "d'ya seriously think these bints have got morals whatsoever?"

You know, maybe that ah lian's trying her best to buy a ticket out of 'ere as well. :P

which particular "senior" minister in the cabinet is a longshanks? :D that's why i called him panjang lah.

the idea of a wee island club in london is fab. but i must add not everyone will be gullible enough to renounce their citizenship to become wee islander. unless some ah lian does really charm their socks off like that one sitting behind me who's trying her darnest to attract the white blokes here.

i said that 'cos she's just put on some warpaint lately and her skirt's getting shorter. and trying to sound saccharine sweet - pass the sickbag! - these past few days ever since she started noticing there are more potential gweilo's to shag. this is what you get by allowing them no-class lowlife's to work in a proper office.

Grammar and spellos in my previous comment:

"... problem is to gettting..." should be amended to "problem is getting".

"Gruby" should have been "grubby" and "guss" should have been "guess".

Apologies.

Will make space for you. Definitely. The problem (and a big one at that) is to getting my gruby hands on the tickets.

Panjang's daughter? How about setting up a branch of the Wee Island's Official Club (TM) in the heart of London in a bid to recruit more Brits as "ordinary members with a free citizenship thrown in for good measure (serving National Servanthood is optional)" to our wee island promising a sunshine paradise home away from home?

Ok. That is just my uninformed guss. :P

hey if you have found some wee space on the boat, give me a holler.

quitter indeed, but what the fuck is that panjang's daughter doing in the UK then? wanker.

as blahed by the letter b @ May 12, 2004 08:08 AM

My point exactly. Still looking for the first boat out, allegations of "quitter" notwithstanding.

in fact you are not wrong there. read about the wee islander club over in netherlands last year or summat and they didn't mention anything about associate membership for the native's there. in fact they are treated like wee islanders.

this serves to show what effin' morons wee islanders can be, especially them big wig types. presumbly a big wig who started that club over there.

i'm not surprised if wee islanders are to become associate members 'cos we are already being treated as such right here on our supposed "country" ie: 2nd-class citizens.

Same thing over at the Japanese club.

Now, I wonder what the rules are for if a Wee Islander's Club is set up by presumably some big wig? Maybe non-Wee Islanders will become ordinary members while Wee Islanders are only eligible for associate membership. :P
